WG Co-chair - Network Virtualization Overlays

Sam Aldrin is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in networking and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Engineering Lead for Gen AI on Distributed Cloud and Edge AI & Analytics Lead at Google since February 2015, Sam also co-chairs the Network Virtualization Overlays working group at the IETF. Previous roles include Principal Engineer & Architect at Huawei, where Sam developed technology strategies and architectures for SDN and IoT applications, and Technical Leader at Cisco Systems, focusing on MPLS systems and network performance. Sam began the professional journey as a Software Engineer at Mayan Networks and has held various engineering positions at Compaq Development Center and ARM Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Karnatak University.
