Tom Birch

Tom Birch has extensive work experience in the field of corporate governance and venture capital. Tom began their career at Telesystem, where they served as a Managing Partner & Entrepreneur in Residence from 2006 to 2010, focusing on investments in enterprise software as a service companies. After leaving Telesystem, Tom held various corporate director roles at companies such as Shopit, AdCentricty, Woozworld Inc., Interset, and Lightspeed HQ. In 2015, they joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as the Global Managing Director of Venture Capital & Technology, responsible for managing the fund's global venture capital investments. Tom has also served as a corporate director at DalCor Pharmaceuticals, IEX, and AppDirect.

Tom Birch has a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math from Queen's University. Tom also holds an MBA degree in International Business from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
