Catherine Lilly knew that she wanted to focus on animal welfare after she retired, but her commitment to doing good work began in long before that.
She studied nonprofit management at Boston University and then pursued a career in banking, which lasted 23 years. She was Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where she focused on healthcare, education, and nonprofits.
Today, she is a co-founder and current Board President of Charles River Alleycats, which neuters and returns wild cats in Boston. She also serves on the Massachusetts State Council for the Humane Society of the United States.
On the board of directors at IFAW, Catherine leans on her love of animals and her lifetime experience to help guide the organization.
