IFixit believes that repair reduces e-waste, saves people money, and teaches engineering. Fixers from all over the world have helped write thousands of repair manuals for everything from cellphones to appliances to clothing. Why do we do it? Because most companies even those that make great products don't provide repair parts or repairdocumentation. Too often, people don't have the means to repair their broken stuff and needlessly buy new things. IFixit wants to stand up against the throwaway culture. Everyone should have the right to maintain and fix what they own.
