Luiz Torre

Luiz Torre has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Luiz started their career as an Estagiário at Vitek Consultoria Ltda., where they gained knowledge in program analysis and modal analysis. Luiz then joined Gerdau S.A. as an Engenheiro, where they managed the Preditiva Maintenance cell and implemented predictive techniques for asset control. After that, Luiz co-founded LLK Engenharia e Comércio Ltda., an engineering and automation company specializing in vibrations, acoustics, and machine dynamics. At LLK, they provided solutions in mechanical engineering and automation services and products.

Luiz joined ifm as a Diagnostics Products Specialist, responsible for training the sales and technical support teams and significantly increasing sales in related product lines. Luiz then moved on to become the Technical Support Manager, where they successfully remodeled the technical support and training structure and changed the sales team's perception of the department.

Luiz progressed to the role of National Sales Manager, where they demonstrated their sales management skills. Luiz later became the Executive Sales Manager, leading the restructuring of the management structure and facilitating a smooth transition to a home office setup during the pandemic. Luiz also focused on accelerating the company's growth and profitability and integrating sales and administrative areas.

Currently, Luiz holds the position of Managing Director at ifm, where they oversee sales, marketing, solutions, and products. Luiz 'snotable achievements in this role include implementing ERP (SAP) and CRM (Sales Force) systems and doubling the size of the operation within three years.

Additionally, Luiz has also served as the Managing Director at ifm Business Solution and GIB.

Luiz Torre completed a Master's degree in Economics and Business Management from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 2022-2023. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2015-2017. In 2014-2015, they participated in the Programa de Especialização em Gestão at Fundação Dom Cabral, focusing on Business Management. Luiz also attended Cambridge Judge Business School in 2014 for a specialist program in Business Management and Innovation. In 2007-2008, Luiz completed a specialist program in Industrial Automation from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2002-2006. Additionally, they obtained certifications as an Executive Coach from ICI - Integrated Coaching Institute in 2018 and as a Vibration Analyst Level IV from Technical Associates of Charlotte in 2017.
