Tom Tran

Tom Tran is a Sales Engineer at ifm since May 2022, where responsibilities include managing technical sales for the NSW region, focusing on acquiring new customers and reactivating previous clients, while collaborating with the marketing department to enhance outreach strategies and customer support. Prior experience includes serving as a Mechanical Test Engineer at Bosch Vietnam from October 2018 to February 2020, where product quality was ensured through testing procedure preparation and manufacturing liaison. Tom has also worked as a Student Ambassador at the University of Portsmouth from September 2016 to June 2018, promoting the Faculty of Technology during Open Days, and as a Production Engineer at Frictec Ltd from July 2016 to August 2017, utilizing Autodesk Inventor for product drawings and enhancing existing product quality through reverse engineering. Tom holds a Master of Engineering and Business from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth. Educational background also includes A Levels from Hartpury University and Hartpury College.
