Kelvin Sum

Kelvin Sum, PhD, is a copyright expert and lawyer with extensive experience in intellectual property law and technology. They served as a Senior Legal Counsel at IFPI, coordinating legal matters for the Southeast Asia region, while previously working as a Deputy Director at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and a Faculty/Research Lead at IP Academy Singapore. As a PhD researcher and lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, they focused on copyright governance within an evolving technological landscape. Kelvin holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Queen Mary University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Intellectual Property Law.
