Matt Mitchell

Matt Mitchell has over 20 years of work experience in the software industry. Matt'smost recent role was as the Director of Software QA at Operix, where they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Medallia as a Senior Manager, QA Engineering from 2022 to 2023. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Senior Automation Framework Engineer at Thunderhead, where they maintained an automated test framework written in Python and tested data pipelines using Great Expectations.

Before Thunderhead, Matt was a Test Automation Engineer at Blue Cedar from 2017 to 2019, where they wrote mobile automated tests using Appium, Java, and Python, as well as automated API tests for microservices using Rest Assured and Postman. Matt also wrote automated tests for a SaaS product using Selenium.

Prior to Blue Cedar, Matt worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Extreme Networks from 2013 to 2017. In this role, they wrote and executed functional and system test plans for various protocols and used in-house tools and Python to perform automated tests. Matt also collaborated with developers to debug issues found during the test cycle.

Before Extreme Networks, Matt worked as an SQA Engineer at Enterasys Networks from 2010 to 2013. Matt started their career in 2002 at Transparent Language, where they held various roles including Release Engineer and Quality Assurance. In these roles, they developed installers for Windows, created packages for OS X, maintained a continuous integration system, executed test plans on multiple platforms, and identified and documented software defects.

Outside of the software industry, Matt worked as a Snowsports Instructor at Crotched Mountain from 2008 to 2010.

Matt Mitchell attended Keene State College from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
