Stephane H. Maes, PhD, serves as the CTO and CPO at IFS since August 2021, overseeing product management, architecture, and strategy for the Assyst portfolio. In addition to this role, Stephane is a member of the Board of Advisors for Intelligine.ai and Control Plane Corporation, and an advisor for Atlas Light Company, focusing on product and strategy guidance. As a Fellow and Laureate of the World Technology Network since 2004, Stephane has received recognition for significant contributions to software and biometrics. With extensive experience as a CTO and Chief Scientist at ESSEM Research since 2002, Stephane engages in scientific research related to software architecture and technology. An accomplished innovator and inventor, Stephane holds over 250 patents and has published numerous works that have significantly impacted the industry. Educational credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Université catholique de Louvain, and an MBA from the IBM Research Executive MBA Program.
