Wei Wei is a research engineer currently working at Université Gustave Eiffel since January 2020, focusing on a FIA safety project for neck braces aimed at karting drivers, as well as motorcyclists and bikers. Wei's work includes conducting literature reviews on neck injury mechanisms, simulating go-karting rollover accidents, performing head impact simulations using the THUMS V5 model, and participating in experimental tests. Wei is also involved in the PIONEERS project at IFSTTAR since December 2018, which aims to enhance rider safety through improved protective equipment and safety devices. Previous experience includes research and development on spinal injury analysis for winter sports at LBA-IFSTTAR and a PhD focused on human aortic injury mechanisms at Aix-Marseille University. Wei holds a PhD in Injury Biomechanics, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering from Hunan University.
