The original SLA materials were brittle and were limited in functionality.  It wasn’t until more recently with the "maker" boom that the industry adopted the term 3d printing.  Just when you thought it was safe to buy your own 3d printer, they made quantum leaps forward in processing and the new manufacturing revolution called additive manufacturing has become mainstream.
