Nick Miles has extensive experience in retail insight and analysis, currently serving as Director of Retail Insight at the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) since September 2011. In this role, Nick leads product development for the global insight service Retail Analysis and oversees a team of 14 analysts as part of the Insight Leadership Team. Previous positions at IGD include Head of Insight (Global), where responsibilities encompassed cross-functional representation and reporting to the executive board, and Head of Asia-Pacific, focusing on insight delivery across the region. Prior to IGD, Nick worked at Tesco from 2004 to 2011, advancing through roles in location planning and contributing to investment strategy. Nick holds a Geography BSc from Durham University, obtained in 2004.
