Ed Fries

Ed Fries is a General Partner at 1Up Ventures and has served on the Board of Commissioners for the Smithsonian American Art Museum since February 2016. As the Board Chair of the IGDA Foundation, Ed Fries focuses on enhancing diversity and inclusivity within the game development community. Additional commitments include being a Board Member for Ancient Egypt Research Associates and Exponential Entertainment, an Advisor for ESTV and Animoca Brands, and a Program Advisory Committee Member at DigiPen Institute of Technology. Ed Fries holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, earned between 1982 and 1986.
