Dan Axelrod

Dan Axelrod, Ph.D., is a communications strategist and part-time communications professor with two decades of experience in journalism, academia, and public relations. They served as the Business Reporter for The Scranton Times-Tribune and later as the Syndicated New York State Business Reporter for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, earning multiple statewide reporting awards. Currently, Dan holds the position of Corporate Communications Manager at IGEL Technology and serves as Chairman of the Society of Professional Journalists' Professional Standards and Ethics Committee. They have also taught at various institutions, including SUNY Orange and the University of Florida, where they earned their Ph.D. in Mass Communications. Dan is a board member of the Creative Happiness Institute, promoting the arts and poetry in Florida.
