Jae Sarner currently serves as a volunteer with the School Health Interdisciplinary Program (SHIP), teaching health and wellness to 3rd-5th grade students. In the role of Vice President and Treasurer at Olami JHealth, Jae plans events for pre-health students and oversees the chapter budget. As Director of Clinical Skills Workshops for the Medi-Gators Program, Jae coordinates workshops for clinical skills development. Additional responsibilities include serving as Director of Workshops and Panels for the University of Florida Health Career Showcase, working on the 2024 iGEM Team in Human Practices, and conducting research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the UF Department of Entomology and Nematology. Jae also assists with General Chemistry courses at the University of Florida as a Lecture Aid and mentors freshmen in the University Research Scholars Program. Previous experience includes volunteering as a dog trainer and serving as a Peer Instructor in the University of Florida Honors Program. Jae is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Florida, with an educational background from David Posnack Jewish Day School.
