Debasis Dash is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in computational genomics and a strong background in proteomics. Currently serving as Director at BRIC ILS since June 2023, Debasis has also held the position of Chief Scientist at CSIR-IGIB since July 1998, overseeing research and development in G2P data modeling and proteomics data analysis. Previous roles include Member at Gen2Phen, where Debasis developed PaGE-OM, and visiting positions at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the University of Leicester, focusing on proteogenomics and dbSNP-lite development, respectively. Debasis's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and an M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from Delhi University, along with a B.Sc. in Chemistry from BJB College, Bhubaneswar.
