Sam Burns

Sam Burns is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology leadership and transformation within the financial services sector. Currently serving as the EVP and Chief Information Officer at IGM Financial Inc. since March 2016, Sam oversees enterprise technology strategy and leads various aspects including application technology, cybersecurity, and data management for IGM and its subsidiaries. Previous roles include significant positions such as Partner and Managing Director at Accenture, where accountability for P&L and client satisfaction was paramount, and transformation leadership in various organizations including Mackenzie Investments and Foresters. A strong background in customer-centric strategies has been established through prior positions at CGI and CIBC. Sam holds an Honours BBA from Brock University.
