Leah Carr

Leah Carr has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR strategy. Leah is currently the Director of Human Resources at IGNITE. Prior to that, they worked as a Coach for Resumes and Interviews at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and as a Career Success Coach at LJC Career Coach. Leah also served as the Director of Human Resources at Villa Charities Inc. and as the Human Resources Manager at Dynaplas Ltd. and AtlasCare. Leah's earlier experience includes roles as Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager at Royal Equator Inc., as well as a Human Resources Generalist at Renin Corp. Leah began their HR career as a Human Resources & Payroll Administrator at Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Center.

Leah Carr has an extensive education history. Leah obtained an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University from 2023 to 2025. In 2009 to 2010, they completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Humber College. In 2022, they earned a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from George Brown College. Additionally, Leah holds a Diploma in Hospitality from Humber College, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Leah Carr also has several certifications, including Diversity Recruiting from LinkedIn and Certified Career Coach from IAP Career College. Leah is also a Certified Brand Champion Trainer from Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts. Furthermore, Leah Carr holds a certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association and has a Joint Health and Safety Certification from Ontario Safety Group.
