Richard Graf has had an extensive legal career. In 1998, they began their career as a Partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo. Richard then moved to Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in 2002, where they were a Partner. In 2006, they took on the role of Director and Acting General Counsel at CampusU, Inc. In 2007, they founded Graf Business Law, where they worked as a Startup Lawyer, handling a variety of corporate, M&A, financing, and securities matters for their clients. In 2011, they took on the role of Director and General Counsel for Product Lab and its portfolio companies, as well as Director and General Counsel at Ignitio, Inc. and General Counsel at Equator Capital Group. In 2014, they became Co-Founder at Cultivate Ventures, LLC and in 2017, Co-founder and General Counsel at SJK Energy Solutions, LLC. In 2022, they took on the role of Of Counsel and Head of Venture Capital and Private Equity Practice at Moarbes LLP.
Richard Graf attended Boston College Law School from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a JD in Law. Prior to that, they attended the University of Chicago from 1979 to 1980, where they obtained an MA in Social Science. Richard also attended the University of Chicago from 1975 to 1980, where they obtained an AB in Political Science.
