Catherine Barton

Catherine Barton is an Earth Scientist and Sustainability Specialist focused on implementing transformative change in the clean energy mining industry. With extensive experience in geology, including roles as a Senior Mine Geologist at Western Areas Ltd and Independence Group, they have developed a deep understanding of the interconnections between mining activities, ecosystem health, and community well-being. Currently, Catherine is advancing their expertise through a Master’s in Sustainability at Deakin University, aiming to leverage interdisciplinary skills for positive environmental and social outcomes.
