Kumar Ramaswamy

Kumar Ramaswamy has an extensive work experience starting from 1993. Kumar began their career at Thomson Consumer Electronics as a Manager/General Manager and SMTS. In 2004, they were promoted to VP and Head of Corporate Research, where they managed 8 corporate research labs worldwide with over 420 researchers. In 2007, they were promoted to VP, CTO Office and CTO Systems Division, Thomson, where they were responsible for all strategic R&D initiatives in the Systems Division with over 3000 engineers. In 2009, they became Adjunct Faculty at Rutgers University and Scientific Advisor at Novelsat Inc. Kumar also Co-Founded igolgi Inc and Zipreel Inc, where they served as President and Board Member.

Kumar Ramaswamy has a varied educational background. Kumar attended Stewart School in Bhubaneshwar, Odisa, India, followed by National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they received a BE(Honours) in Electronics and Communications. Kumar then went on to Vanderbilt University for an MS in Electrical Engg. Subsequently, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for both an MS in Mathematics and a PhD in Electrical & Systems Engineering.
