Simon Tyler

Simon Tyler has spent 35 years in the finance industry, beginning their career at South Pacific Merchant Finance in 1986. After the merger with the National Bank, they led the Head of Financial Markets for the NBNZ group for seven years. Simon subsequently joined the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as the Head of Financial Markets Department, where they contributed to various key committees and initiated significant banking reforms. Following their tenure there, they served as CEO of the Government Superannuation Fund and National Provident Fund until 2022. Currently, Simon serves as a Director at Heartland Bank and holds various board positions at multiple organizations, continuing to leverage their extensive experience in finance.
