Joe Nolan

Joe Nolan has extensive experience in the field of vehicle research and safety, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and previously as the Chief Administrative Officer & Senior Vice President of Vehicle Research at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety/Highway Loss Data Institute since September 1992. Responsibilities include overseeing research and testing at the Institute's Vehicle Research Center, managing budgets, staffing, and IT activities, and representing the Institute at industry events. Prior to this, Joe Nolan worked as an electrical engineer at the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia from 1988 to 1990. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
