Arya Thomas is a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, since July 2021, pursuing a PhD in Ocean Engineering and Offshore Structures. Previously, Arya served as a student placement coordinator and teaching assistant in the Department of Ship Technology at Cochin University of Science and Technology from August 2020 to June 2021 and July 2019 to June 2021, respectively. Arya also completed a remote internship at SkillLEAPS, focusing on the design of jacket and topside structures while gaining insights into AISC codes and API RP 2A guidelines. Additionally, Arya interned at Kochi Metro Rail Ltd in June 2016. Arya holds an MTech in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design from Cochin University of Science and Technology (2019-2021) and a BTech in Civil Engineering from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (2014-2018).
