Jayasree Biswas is an Assistant Professor in the MEMS department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, since February 2024, focused on high-temperature kinetics in steelmaking and recycling metals from secondary sources. Prior to this role, Jayasree was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University from February 2022 to December 2023, contributing to the BATCircle 2.0 project on battery recycling and valuable metal extraction. From January 2018 to December 2021, Jayasree worked as a Doctoral Fellow at McMaster University, pursuing a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, following a Researcher position at TRDDC from July 2015 to December 2017, where work involved process data analytics and predictive modeling for blast furnace operations. Earlier experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from June 2013 to June 2015. Educational qualifications include a PhD from McMaster University, an MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an Engineer's Degree from Jadavpur University.
