Uttam Kumar

Uttam Kumar is a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) since December 2019, serving as the Department Placement Representative, facilitating students' access to job opportunities and internships. Uttam's research work includes fabricating magnetic material-based heterostructure photocatalysts and constructing layered 2D heterointerface photocatalysts for energy applications during an international fellowship at the National Institute for Materials Science. Previous roles include Project Assistant III and Master Project Trainee at the CSIR National Metallurgical Laboratory, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials for energy applications. Uttam holds a Ph.D. in Research from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) and a combined M-Tech in Nanotechnology from Central University of Jharkhand.
