Dinith Jayanetti

Dinith Jayanetti, PhD, is currently the Head of Section and a Senior Scientist at the IIT Research Institute (IITRI) in Chicago, Illinois. With extensive expertise in LCMS method development, Dinith specializes in the quantitation of small and large molecules in complex biological matrices, employing various extraction techniques. They have over 8 years of experience in the isolation and characterization of bioactive molecules from bacteria and fungi, utilizing diverse purification and characterization techniques. Previously, Dinith served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa and as a Staff Scientist I at Labcorp Drug Development, further advancing their knowledge through a Postdoctoral Researcher role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on antibiotic discovery. Dinith holds two PhDs in Organic Chemistry and Natural Products from the University of Iowa, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biology from the University of Colombo.
