Luis Leon is currently the CFO at iJility. Prior to this, they were an Executive Team Leader Human Resources at Target from June 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for partnering with business units to develop overall business strategy and objectives, translating the business strategy and objectives into goals, plans and tactics that were aligned with business imperatives, while assuring compatibility with company values, ethics and policies. Luis also provided analysis and recommendations in areas such as talent management, organizational assessment, performance and career management, succession planning, organizational structure, workforce planning and change management. Additionally, they counseled and coached employees and managers regarding HR issues, practice and policy including employee relations, performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, disciplinary actions and terminations.
In addition to their role at Target, Luis has also managed annual Performance Management Development processes, including employee training and coaching, calibration and performance appraisal, personnel development planning, and succession planning. Luis has also led and supported client organizations through change transformation and ensured continued employee engagement and productivity. Luis has experience delivering full recruitment services, including needs analysis, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, employee offers, and on boarding. Luis is skilled in compiling various HR metrics and analyzing, reporting and identifying trends within the organization and industry. Luis has also developed and implemented HR policies and procedures. Lastly, they have supported management teams and ensured HR processes are implemented in compliance with domestic and global strategies.
Luis Leon completed their undergraduate studies at Florida Metropolitan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business. Luis then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the same school. In addition, they have received certification from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate, Instituto Central de Capacitación Educacional in Chilean Labor Laws and Compensations, and Nova Southeastern University in Professional in Human Resources Certification Exam Preparation.
