Dirk Schmidt

Dirk Schmidt is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience across various roles and companies. Initial career steps included internships at PwC, Merrill Lynch, and Boston Consulting Group, followed by a progression to a Financial Analyst position at Summa Capital. Dirk held roles at Nokia and became a Senior Analyst/Associate and Project Manager at PCA Corporate Finance. In 2012, Dirk joined IKEA Group, advancing from Business Navigation and Operations Manager to Country Business Navigation Manager before assuming the role of Country CFO in Finland in 2018. Dirk received a Master’s Degree from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor’s Degree from Leipzig University, complemented by exchange programs at Vaasan yliopisto and American University’s Kogod School of Business.
