Ingrid Halters

Ingrid Halters is a seasoned professional in user experience design, currently serving as the Product UX Design Director at IKEA since June 2021. Prior to this role, Ingrid held various leadership positions at Elsevier from October 2012 to May 2021, including Director of User Experience, where Ingrid oversaw multidisciplinary teams working on significant platforms like ScienceDirect and Scopus. Ingrid's experience also encompasses a role as a UX Consultant, managing projects for SocialExpress, and a long tenure at TomTom International BV as VP User Experience, where Ingrid established and led the UX unit. Early career milestones include positions as a web designer at The Dutch Republic and a research trainee at Philips Research. Ingrid holds a Professional Doctorate in Engineering in User System Interaction from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Product Development from the University of Antwerp.
