Arantxa Acera

Scientific Researcher at Ikerbasque

Arantxa Acera is a seasoned scientific researcher with extensive experience in ophthalmology and clinical trials. Currently serving as a Scientific Researcher at Ikerbasque since February 2022, Acera also holds the position of Clinical Trial Coordinator in Ophthalmology and Research at I. Biodonostia and UPV/EHU since September 2017. Prior to these roles, Acera was the Chief Clinical and Research at Bioftalmik from November 2007 to September 2017, and contributed to research and development at Instituto Clinico Quirúrgico de Oftalmologia from 2005 to 2006. Acera began a research career focusing on the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori at HELICOVASC, SL from March 1997 to December 2003. Acera holds a PhD in Ophthalmology from Universidad del Pais Vasco.
