Arkaitz Carracedo

Arkaitz Carracedo is an IKERBASQUE Research Professor and Group Leader at CIC bioGUNE, where they focus on the biological basis and therapeutic approaches in cancer. They serve as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UPV/EHU and hold membership on the Board of Directors for the European Association for Cancer Research. Carracedo's past experience includes senior postdoctoral work at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, both centered on cancer cell signaling. They earned a PhD from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, investigating cannabinoid signaling and its therapeutic potential in cancer.
