Emilio Artacho is a physics researcher and professor specializing in condensed matter quantum physics, theory and computation, and first-principles simulations, including the SIESTA method. Since 2011, they have served as a Research Professor at Ikerbasque and Theory Group Leader at CIC nanoGUNE, while also holding the position of Professor at the University of Cambridge since 2006 and Fellow at Clare Hall since 2002. Emilio is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Condensed Matter Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they are recognized for their work at the Cum Laude level.
