Brice Hoffmann

Principal Scientist, Group Leader, Computational Chemistry at Iktos

Brice Hoffmann has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics and computational chemistry. Brice started their career in 2002, obtaining a Master's degree from Université d'Évry Val d'Essonne. Brice then pursued a PhD in Bioinformatics at Ecole des Mines de Paris from 2007 to 2011, where they focused on developing statistical learning methods for predicting protein-ligand interactions. During their PhD, they also developed similarity measures for comparing ligand binding sites.

Following their PhD, Brice worked as a postdoc in Bioinformatics at Universty P.Curie UPMC-Paris6 from 2012 to 2017. Here, they were involved in a project funded by the French cystic fibrosis foundation, where they aimed to develop pharmacological therapeutics targeting the roots of the disease. Their work in this role focused on docking and virtual screening, using 3D models of the CFTR protein.

Since 2017, Brice has been working at Iktos as a Principal Scientist and Group Leader in Computational Chemistry. Details about their specific role and responsibilities at this company are not provided.

Brice Hoffmann's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Université d'Évry and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and genetics. Brice successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. Subsequently, in 2006, Brice Hofmann joined UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines to pursue a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics, which they completed in 2007. Following their master's program, Brice Hoffmann enrolled at Mines Paris in 2007 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology, which they completed in 2011.
