Clive Helleputte

Clive Helleputte has had diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Clive began their career as a Junior Software Developer at WEST Solutions Group from November 1997 to August 1998, gaining experience in rapid application development, end-user testing, and support. Clive then worked as an Assistant to IT Manager at Fuchs Lubricants from September 1998 to April 2001, responsible for the administration and maintenance of a Unix and Windows network, as well as stock control and security management.

In May 2001, Clive joined 3 Tier Information Technology as a Senior Developer, reporting to Rafael Rodriguez and Anthony Maitland. Clive worked there until October 2003, where they were involved in rapid application development and end-user support, gaining exposure to various software technologies such as MS Windows, MS Office, SQL Databasing, and Transact SQL.

From November 2003 to August 2005, Clive worked as a Senior Developer at Hi-Performance Learning - Cuda Technologies. Clive was responsible for rapid application development and had experience in the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, implementation, end-user testing, and support.

In 2008, Clive joined iLAB, where they held multiple roles. Clive started as a Test Analyst from March 2008 to January 2009. Then, from February 2009 to January 2011, they served as a Test Lead. Clive later became a Test Automater from February 2011 to September 2011, followed by a Test Manager from January 2014 to December 2014. Lastly, they held the position of Technical Engineering Manager from December 2015 until the present, with no specified end date.

Throughout their tenure at iLAB, Clive performed various tasks related to software testing, including documenting specifications, gathering performance requirements, developing test plans, executing performance tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for corrective action. Clive also contributed to the development of proof-of-concept scripts and detailed performance test project plans.

Clive Helleputte's education history begins in 1991 when they enrolled at Edenvale High. Clive completed their Matric degree in 1993, studying subjects such as English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Science, Business Economics, and Accounting. Moving forward, in 1996, Clive pursued a Diploma in Advanced Computer Science at Oxford College, where they focused on Information Systems, Systems Software, Applied Programming, C Programming, Advanced C and C++, and Accounting. After a gap in education, in 2010, Clive obtained an Advanced Certification in Software Testing from ISTQB, specifically focusing on Software Testing. Additionally, in July 2012, they obtained certifications in Advanced Performance Tester and became a Neotys Certified Instructor from Neotys.
