Jason Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jason started their career as an Assistant Store Manager at Papa Murphy's International in 2004, where they established efficient employee schedules and created statistical models to predict sales. In 2005, they worked as a Logistics Team Leader at Target Store, overseeing product levels and analyzing operational effectiveness.
From 2006 to 2010, Jason worked as a Documentation Specialist at Roche Diagnostics, mediating approval processes for marketing communications and utilizing programming skills such as JavaScript, VisualBasic, and HTML. Jason then became a Web Design Consultant from 2008 to 2013, providing consulting services for web design.
Jason joined Roche Diagnostics again in 2011, this time as a Project Management Specialist and later as a Project Management Coordinator, managing projects and ensuring deadlines were met. In 2013, they became involved with SAS Woodsball International - Indiana Chapter, serving as Vice President, Public Relations and Outreach Officer, and ultimately as the President until 2022.
In 2015, Jason joined iLAB as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, later being promoted to Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst and SQA Team Lead. At the same time, they became a member of Marion County CERT Team, serving as a Basic CERT Member, Alumni Association Treasurer, Alumni Association Chair, Township Lead, and currently as the Planning Section Chief.
In 2017, Jason took on multiple responsibilities within the Civil Air Patrol, including being the Titan Cadet Squadron Emergency Services Officer, Honor Guard Advisor, Communications Officer, and currently, the Squadron Deputy Commander. Additionally, in 2019, they became the RACES Officer at Metropolitan Emergency Services Agency - Marion County Emergency Management Agency.

Jason Lopez began their education at the United States Air Force Academy from 1995 to 1997, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Jason then attended Brigham Young University from 1999 to 2000, majoring in Electrical Engineering. However, they did not obtain a degree from either institution. From 2000 to 2004, Jason studied International Business Management at Utah Valley University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained various certifications, including ICS-400 - Advanced ICS for Command & General Staff from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security in April 2019, Stop The Bleed - Bleeding Control Basic v1.0 from Hamilton County Health Dept in June 2018, and Cyber Security Awareness from IMPD Homeland Security Bureau in October 2016, among others. Most recently, they obtained an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security in April 2022.
