David Cook began their work experience in 2006 as a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. David worked on the Topological Engineering project and continued in their role when the project received a Translation Grant in 2010. David was also involved in the Supercritical Electrodeposition Program Grant as a named researcher in 2011 and was promoted to Senior Research Fellow in 2012. In 2019, they worked as an IT Helpdesk Assistant at the University of Southampton iSolutions, providing customer service and IT support. From 2018 to 2020, David was a PGCE Student - Secondary Science at the University of Southampton, where they had the opportunity to be involved in teaching and outreach. David then worked as a Science Teacher at New Forest Academy from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they joined the University of Southampton as a Service Desk Analyst, providing IT and service support across various university sites. Most recently, in 2022, David Cook became a Battery Engineer at Ilika plc.
David Cook pursued their education at the University of Southampton from 1997 to 2005. During this time, they successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Physical Chemistry.
