Lance Read

Lance Read currently serves as Group President at ITW since January 2024. Prior to this role, Lance held the position of Vice President & General Manager at Avery Weigh-Tronix from September 2006 to January 2024, overseeing a leading supplier of industrial weighing products and measurement solutions in over 80 countries. Earlier, Lance served as Director of Sourcing Europe at Eagle Ottawa, where responsibilities included overseeing a new factory in Hungary and a new R&D center in Stuttgart, Germany. Lance began a career in purchasing with Johnson Controls as Purchasing Manager for Ford BU Europe and worked as a Buyer at Massey Ferguson. Lance holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from the University of Sunderland, obtained from 1989 to 1993.
