Matt Smith

Matt Smith is a Staff Scientist at Illumina, where they have progressed from Scientist II to Senior Scientist and now hold the current title. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Scientist at Inivata and as a Product Development Scientist at QIAGEN. Matt's early career included tenure as an Industrial CASE PhD student at Lonza and various research-focused positions at Isogenica Limited and AMS Biotechnology Ltd. They earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Kent and have a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
