Michael Hicks

Michael Hicks is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in integration and research roles in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Integration Scientist at Illumina since May 2019, Michael has advanced through various positions, including Staff Integration Scientist and Senior Integration Scientist. Prior experience includes a Senior Research Scientist role at Human Longevity, Inc., and post-doctoral positions at MIT and UCSF, where focus areas included biological routes towards value-added chemicals and bioinformatics analysis. Michael holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in Biology from Wake Forest University. Additionally, Michael has contributed to educational initiatives as a student employee at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.
