Ryan McCurdy

Ryan McCurdy is a Staff Engineer at Illumina, where they lead a surface chemistry process team in the development of next-generation Illumina Flow Cells. With a background in advanced DNA sequencing consumables, Ryan transitioned from a Senior Engineer role at Illumina, where they contributed to product development and secured a patent and trade secret. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Materials Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ryan also gained experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and led a consulting team at Berkeley Innovative Solutions Consulting.
