Jay Shutter

Jay Shutter has extensive work experience in the research and consultancy industry. Jay founded and served as the CEO of Illuminas, a global research consultancy dedicated to helping companies gain leadership positions. In addition to their entrepreneurial venture, Jay also worked as the Managing Director at Momentum Research Group. Prior to that, they held the position of VP of Research at Citigate Cunningham Communication, where they pioneered the use of primary market research for technology brands. Jay also worked as the Director of Research at CMP Media, Inc. and as a Research Manager at IntelliQuest. Currently, they are a Board Member at Transparency Imperative, a start-up that focuses on measuring the transparency of decision-making in the workplace.

Jay Shutter completed their BA degree in Spanish and French at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1983 to 1989. Following that, they pursued an MBA degree with a focus on Marketing and Market Research at the Texas McCombs School of Business from 1990 to 1992.
