Scott Smith

Scott Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of analyst relations and communications. Scott has worked in various roles and positions throughout their career. Starting as a Communications, Analyst, and Public Relations Consultant in 2009, Scott provided strategic media and analyst relations services to companies in different industries. Scott then worked as an Account Supervisor at Sterling Communications before joining HID Identity Assurance as a Segment Marketing Communications Manager/Senior Manager, handling strategic positioning and messaging, marketing collateral, and global lead-generation assets. After that, Scott became the Head of Global PR, AR, and Social Media at ForeScout Technologies, where they developed PR and AR strategies. Scott later served as the Senior Manager of Global Analyst Relations at Citrix, leading the analyst relations for their networking products. Scott then joined Cisco as an Analyst Relations Group Lead for Cybersecurity before transitioning to the role of Director of Global Analyst Relations at Dataiku. In 2023, they started their own freelance consultancy called ARphilic, providing strategic analyst and influencer relations services to B2B companies. Additionally, Scott co-hosted a limited podcast series called "The Recruiter of Oz" in collaboration with The Recruiter of Oz. Finally, Scott is currently working as an Analyst Relations Director at Illumio.

Scott Smith earned a Diploma in General Studies from Lynbrook High School in 1990. Scott then went on to complete an Associate of Arts degree in General/Business from Sierra College in Rocklin, CA from 1990 to 1993. Scott Smith obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University-Sacramento in 1997. In addition, Scott Smith obtained a certification in Dataiku Core Designer from Dataiku in October 2021.
