Vera Bereg

Vera Bereg has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Vera is currently serving as the Director of Product Management at iLobby® Facility & Visitor Management, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, Vera worked as the Director of Product Management at Blackline Safety from 2021 to 2023. In this role, they focused on developing and leading the product vision, driving a data-driven decision-making culture, and mentoring product managers and UX designers.

Before Blackline Safety, Vera served as the Director of Product and UX at Namaste Technologies from 2019 to 2021 and as the Director of Product Management and UX at Guestlogix from 2018 to 2019. Vera also worked at Amazon as a Senior Technical Product Manager from 2015 to 2018, at Fujitsu Canada as a Product Manager from 2013 to 2015, and at TELUS in various roles including Program Manager, Project Manager, and Developer Analyst II from 2006 to 2013. Prior to this, Vera worked as a Developer and Researcher at various companies from 2004 to 2006.

Vera Bereg has a diverse educational background. From 2015 to 2017, they attended Queen's University and completed a Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) with a focus on marketing. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006, they studied at The University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at UBC, they pursued a major in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology. In 2004, they also attended Caltech's Computing Beyond Silicon Valley Summer School, although they did not obtain a degree from there.

In addition to their formal education, Vera has obtained several certifications. These include PMC Level I and Level II from Pragmatic Institute in March 2023, a SheCodes Plus workshop in Front End Development from SheCodes in February 2022, a SheCodes Basic workshop in Introduction to Coding from SheCodes in October 2021, and a Product Leadership Certificate from Product School in August 2019. Vera also holds certifications such as Hootsuite Certificatified Professional from Hootsuite in December 2014, Advanced Leadership Bronze from Toastmasters International in July 2014, SAFe Agilist (SA) from Scaled Agile Academy in March 2014, Competent Communicator from Toastmasters International in January 2014, and Competent Leadership from Toastmasters International in November 2013. Vera's earlier certifications include ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT in December 2012, Business Transformation Leadership Development Program from TELUS in January 2009, Project Management Professional from Project Management Institute in August 2011, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in March 2011.
