John Bean

John Bean holds extensive experience in geohydrology and engineering across various companies, currently serving as Manager Technical Services at Iluka Resources since September 2009, with a progression through roles such as Principal Hydrogeologist and Senior Hydrogeologist. Prior positions include a Senior Hydrogeologist at Golder and a Senior Geohydrologist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Academic qualifications include a PhD in Geohydrology from the University of the Free State, as well as multiple master's degrees in mining engineering and hydrogeology from UNSW and QUT, respectively. John Bean also possesses earlier credentials in applied science and engineering, demonstrating a strong background in geology and natural resources.
