Emanuele Simonini

Emanuele Simonini is a Materials Technologist at IMA Group since May 2020, specializing in materials engineering with a focus on eco-sustainable packaging solutions. Emanuele completed a PhD in Materials Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2017 to 2021, where research centered on bioplastics and packaging technologies. Previous experience includes a Research Fellow position focused on food packaging using biopolymers in collaboration with Alce Nero and IMA spa, and a Technology Transfer Internship at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. Emanuele's early research in polymer science at Université catholique de Louvain contributed to a solid foundation in the field, further complemented by roles as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Bologna and academic qualifications in Chemistry and Materials Chemistry.
