Joël VELLAS is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the bicycle and sports industry, currently serving as a member of the economic council at the CCIG since March 2024 and as the director of the Salon du Vélo de Genève since March 2018. Joël VELLAS is also the president of the Association Second Life Bike, which focuses on bicycle recycling and social reintegration, and the founder and director of the Salon UPcycling Genève, dedicated to recycling and upcycling initiatives. As the owner of SOLD SARL (Bike Sold), a shop offering both new and used bicycles, Joël VELLAS has cultivated a vast catalog of over 2000 bicycles. Previously, Joël VELLAS held the position of president at the Association 2Roues Suisse section Genève and worked as a teacher and trainer for the Etat de Genève from September 1990 to 2002. Joël VELLAS holds a degree in commerce management from OFPC, obtained in 2012.
