Senior Embedded Algorithm Development Engineer at Image Sensing Systems

Ryan Heine has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ryan started their career as a LARSS Intern at NASA Langley Research Center in 1999. In 2002, they joined DRS Sustainment Systems as a Senior Engineering Specialist, where they worked until 2007. During their time at DRS, they gained expertise in hardware and software engineering.

In 2007, Ryan joined Global Velocity as a Senior Hardware/Software Engineer. While at Global Velocity, Ryan introduced the Play framework for clean integration with Scala/Akka technologies. Ryan also organized the product project structure to reduce compile times and simplify dependency resolution. Ryan implemented algorithms to manage big data on a noSQL database and rebuilt the user interface as a web application. Ryan further implemented a full REST API utilizing the Lift framework. Ryan transitioned from hardware development to form a new software team on a new platform at Global Velocity.

In 2015, Ryan joined Image Sensing Systems, Inc. as a Senior Embedded Algorithm Development Engineer, where they continue to work.

Ryan Heine obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Saint Louis University between 1996 and 2001. Prior to that, they attended Cedar Catholic High School, although specific dates and degree information are unavailable.
