William Shato

William Shato has a diverse work experience starting from 2007 to the present. William began working as a Mathematics Laboratory Tutor and later took on roles such as Tutor, Supplemental Instructor, and Computer Science Lab Consultant at Indiana University Southeast. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as the Manager of Business Intelligence at Miraca Life Sciences. William then transitioned to Software Engineering, working at SoftLayer Technologies, Inc. as a Software Engineer from 2013 to 2015, and as a Lead Software Engineer at Caris Life Sciences from 2015 to 2017. William joined SoftLayer, an IBM Company in 2017 as a Software Engineer until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of IT Development Services Manager at ImageFIRST and will assume the role of Director of Software Engineering from May 2023 onwards.

William Shato earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Southeast in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Music Performance from Marshall University in 2003.
