Dan Simon

Dan Simon has a diverse work experience in various roles within the creative and design industry. Dan is currently working as a Senior Creative Director at Imagination since September 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Creative Director at the same company from October 2018 to September 2021.

Before joining Imagination, Dan worked as a Design Director of Environments at Imagination, Sydney, from May 2016 to October 2018. In this role, they focused on creating brand-aligned design solutions that emphasized consumer experiences.

In 2008, Dan worked as a Sculpture and Installation Artist under their own name, Dan Simon.

Additionally, they worked as a Senior Interior Designer at McCartney Design from September 2015 to May 2016. During this time, they led multiple retail projects and was responsible for high-quality 3D spatial renders, detailed documentation packages, and material specification.

Prior to that, Dan served as the Lead Senior 3D Experiential Designer at Imagination from February 2014 to September 2015. Dan worked on The Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience, a flagship community event for the Australian Government's Anzac Centenary national program.

In 2013, they held the position of an Interior Designer at e2 Experiential Environments. Dan'sresponsibilities included concept design, spatial planning, 3D sketches, and rendering for clients such as ANZ, Foxtel, and Bupa.

Dan's work experience also includes a role as an Environments Designer at Frost Design from November 2011 to February 2012. In this position, they assisted in projects such as the University of Technology Sydney campus wayfinding and a Qantas worldwide brand presence audit.

Dan Simon attended the College of Fine Arts UNSW from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts hons. (BFA) degree with a focus on Sculpture and Installation Art. Dan then went on to attend the Billy Blue School of Design from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Design degree in Commercial Interior Design.
